Ford today started the teaser campaign for the long-awaited Bronco Raptor high-performance SUV.
Teased in a short video that shows only the grille of the vehicle and the dust it kicks up as it charges through the desert with its, presumably, high-performance powertrain. Few other details are shared about the SUV, apart from the fact that it will be available in 2022.
Although there are few official numbers to share, a dealer ordering system leak revealed earlier this month that the Raptor model will be available in two trims, with the higher trim model getting creature comforts like a heated steering wheel, wireless smartphone charging, GPS, adaptive cruise control, and a 10-speaker sound system.

Power will reportedly come from the Explorer ST‘s 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6 kicking out 400 hp (298 kW/406 PS) and 415 lb-ft (562 Nm). That’s an upgrade of 70 hp (52 kW/71 PS) over the 2.7-liter V6 Bronco, which Raptor buyers will no doubt appreciate.
Spy pictures have shown that the styling will be upgraded, too, with big fender flares giving the SUV a wider, more aggressive stance. It could also get a unique Code Orange paint option, which may be what is seen in the video below. Rumors suggest that the Raptor version of the Bronco will only be available with four doors.
Clearly, there’s a lot more to learn still. With the teaser campaign having officially started, though, we expect to have more info in the near future.
