If you love off-roading but don’t think the likes of the Jeep Wrangler and Ford Bronco are capable enough, then this personal recreational tank might be right up your alley.
This particular tank is dubbed the Ripsaw EV3-F4 and has been produced by Howe & Howe. It is up for auction through Hemmings and with just a day left in the auction, bidding had already reached $425,000.

The tank is based around a high-strength tubular steel exoskeleton and is powered by a modified 6.6-liter Duramax turbo-diesel V8. This engine churns out an extraordinary 800 hp and 1,500 lb-ft (2,033 Nm) of torque and is coupled to a five-speed Allison 1000 transmission. The EV3-F4 can travel at up to 60 mph (96 km/h) and has no less than 20 inches of ground clearance.
Interestingly, the cabin of the Ripsaw is suspended by air-springs, meaning forces encountered by the tracks aren’t transferred into the cabin. The exterior of the tank is also clad in a rugged matte black finish and includes LED lamps, a heated windshield, an infrared light bar, a remote spotlight, remote image-stabilizing FLIR camera, winch, and watertight cargo boxes.
The interior of the off-roader has been designed to be comfortable and luxurious. As such, it features heated and cooled leather Recaro seats. There is also a Bose aviation intercom system and two large 12-inch Garmin touch screen displays that house all of the important controls.
