A rare 1986 Ford RS200 is looking for a new home and is absolutely perfect for anyone that is a fan of homologation specials.

Ford famously built the RS200 to meet homologation requirements for Group B competition in the World Rally Championship. Roughly 140 examples were produced; this particular example has just 5,600 km (~3,500 miles) on the clock and is being offered on Bring a Trailer with select service records, a clean Montana tile, and a clean Carfax report.

The body of the RS200 features fiberglass front and rear clamshells. Other iconic elements of the car include a roof-mounted intercooler scoop, ducktail spoiler, round headlights, and additional Hella rally lights. This particular example is finished in Diamond White, although the driver-side mirror has been painted red. It also has red mud flaps.

Elsewhere, the iconic RS200 sits on magnesium alloy wheels with 225/50R16 Falken tires from 2011. Found in the cabin are a pair of racing seats clad in red upholstery and a red steering wheel, while the Wilton wool carpeting is said to have been replaced by a previous owner.

Power comes courtesy of a mid-mounted 1.8-liter Cosworth inline-four with an aluminum engine block and cylinder head. This turbocharged mill was rated at 250 hp and 215 lb-ft (291 Nm) of torque when new and the listing notes this example had a turbo rebuild and a comprehensive service cone in 2020. Power is sent to all four wheels courtesy of a five-speed manual transaxle.
