The all-electric Lucid Air can travel up to 520 miles on a single charge, new details from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) reveal.
The flagship Lucid Air Dream Edition will be offered in two flavors: the Range and the Performance. The automaker has announced that the Dream Edition Range has been awarded an official EPA rating of 520 miles (836 km) of range on a single charge when equipped with the available 19-inch wheels. The range drops to 481 miles (774 km) with the 21-inch wheels. The Dream Edition Range also pumps out a cool 933 hp.

Then we have the Air Dream Edition Performance. With its 19-inch wheels, it can travel 471 miles (758 km) on a single charge or 451 miles (725 km) when fitted with the 21-inch wheels, always according to the EPA. As the name suggests, the Air Dream Edition Performance is more focused on …performance, with no less than 1,111 hp on tap.
Range figures have also been released for the more affordable Air Grand Touring, priced from $139,000 before federal EV tax credits. It can travel 516 miles (830 km) with the standard 19-inch wheels and 469 miles (754 km) with the 21-inch wheels, all while producing 800 hp.
“I’m delighted that our Lucid Air Dream Edition Range has been officially accredited with a range of 520 miles by the EPA, a number I believe to be a new record for any EV,” Lucid chief executive Peter Rawlinson said in a statement. “Crucially, this landmark has been achieved by Lucid’s world-leading in-house EV technology, not by simply installing an oversize battery pack. “Our race-proven 900V battery and BMS technology, our miniaturized drive units, coupled with our Wunderbox technology endow Lucid Air with ultra-high efficiency, enabling it to travel more miles from less battery energy. The next-generation EV has truly arrived!”
Customer deliveries of the Lucid Air are scheduled to commence before the end of the year.
