Polestar Re:Move Is A Three-Wheeler E-Scooter That Can Carry Up To 180 kg

At the 2021 IAA Motor Show, Polestar announced it will expand its presence in 30 global markets by the end of 2022, while showcasing the 2020 Precept concept. However, the Swedish company had another ace up its sleeve – the Re:Move concept which is a multi-functional electric transporter for last-mile deliveries.

This is actually not the first time we see the Re:Move, as it was unveiled in early 2021 through the Wallpaper Magazine in the form of a digital concept study. Its designer, Konstantin Grcic collaborated with the companies Polestar (automaker), Cake (electric motorbike maker), and Hydro (aluminum producer), in order to transform it from paper to reality.

The three-wheel electric transporter is 750 mm (29.5 inches) wide which allows it to move freely on bicycle lanes while carrying loads of up to 180 kg (396.8 pounds). It is based on an aluminum chassis featuring a tilt mechanism for turns and comes with a damped rear swingarm and disc brakes. It also has lights, indicators (optional), and a horn, while being fully recyclable.

Top speed is limited to 25 km/h (15.5 mph) according to the legislation on e-bikes and e-scooters. Polestar didn’t provide info on the range but the 2.2 kWh battery should be more than enough to power the hub motor for a large number of zero-emission deliveries.

A working prototype of the Re:Move is exhibited at the 2021 IAA Motor Show in Munich. We don’t know if this project is going to be developed further but it seems that Polestar and its partners are taking sustainable last-mile deliveries quite seriously.
