Famous wheel manufacturer Rays has just unveiled a new off-road focused wheel called the 57XR-X. It is based on their 57XR style and features a different design that’s better suited for off-road vehicles.

The 57XR-X is designed specifically for vehicles with a large pitch circle diameter, which is the diameter of the imaginary circle that passes through the center of all the studs, wheel bolts or wheel rim holes.

Typically, vehicles with larger pitch circle diameters tend to be trucks and larger SUVs, hence why Rays chose a Toyota Hilux and Land Cruiser Prado as their display vehicles. The 57XR-X features the same double six-spoke design as the normal 57XR, with the addition of a new outer lip treatment, thicker spokes, and the aforementioned larger pitch circle diameter.

The 57XR-X comes in two finishes, dark bronze and black graphite, and can be optioned with center caps in chrome and blue, black and red, full black, or bronze and red. Moreover, it only comes in one size: 17 inches in diameter by 8 inches deep with a 6-lug, 139.7 millimeter pitch circle diameter. The wheels cost 41,800 Japanese Yen each ($378 USD), with the center caps coming in at 3,000 Japanese Yen ($27 USD) each, and both are currently on sale.
