The all-new fourth-generation Skoda Fabia premiered in May 2021 and now the model has launched in the UK market with prices starting from £14,905 ($20,611). As a reminder, the new Fabia is sharing the MQB A0 platform with the recently facelifted VW Polo and Seat Ibiza siblings. In the UK, it will be initially available to order in four trim levels with four engine options.
More specifically, the Fabia range will consist of the S, SE, Comfort, SE L, and Colour Edition trim levels, while a Monte Carlo will follow in early 2022. Skoda announced the following starting prices:
Skoda Fabia S – £14,905 ($20,611)
Skoda Fabia SE Comfort – £16,795 ($23,217)
Skoda Fabia SE L – £18,980 ($26,238)
Skoda Fabia Colour Edition – £17,495 ($24,185)
Standard equipment for the base-spec Fabia S includes LED headlights, a 6.5-inch infotainment screen, DAB digital radio, manual air conditioning, and several ADAS systems (Front Assist, Pedestrian Protection, Lane Assist with road edge detection, and e-Call+). The Fabia SE adds 15-inch Rotare alloy wheels, fog lights, a two-spoke leather multifunction steering wheel, rear parking sensors, height-adjustable front seats with adjustable lumbar support, and leather wrap for the handbrake and gearshift knob.

Moving on to the more generously equipped Fabia SE L, buyers will get 16-inch Proxima alloy wheels and chrome window surrounds for a more stylish look. Inside there is a larger 9.2-inch infotainment screen with the Amundsen navigation system, six speakers, automatic dual-zone air-conditioning, Comfort seats, LED reading lights, removable cup-holder, center armrest, electric windows front and rear, ambient lighting, and microsuede grey lower decorative trim with art grey stitching.
Last but not least, the Fabia Colour Edition is not the most expensive of the range, but it brings more personalization options while focusing on style and gadgets. It gets the same 16-inch Proxima wheels but this time finished in black, privacy glass, and the mirror caps painted in the same color as the roof (metallic Graphite Grey or pearl-effect Magic Black). Inside, the standard 8-inch touchscreen for the Bolero infotainment is combined with the 10-inch Virtual cockpit. It also has the KESSY keyless engine start/stop system, and the umbrella hidden in the door pocket.

The engine range starts with the naturally aspirated three-cylinder 1.0 MPI producing 64 hp (48 kW / 65 PS) or 79 hp (59 kW / 80 PS), combined with a five-speed manual gearbox. Then, there is the turbocharged three-cylinder 1.0 TSI producing 94 hp (70 kW / 95 PS) with a six-speed manual or up to 109 hp (81 kW / 110 PS) with the seven-speed DSG. There is no word on the more powerful 1.5 TSI with 148 hp (110 kW / 150 PS) but we expect it to be available at a later date.
Skoda will start taking orders for the new Fabia on the 28th of September 2021, with the first UK deliveries expected in the fourth quarter of the year. The sporty Monte Carlo trim level will follow in early 2022 with larger diameter wheels and dark-painted details around the bodywork.
