After the GTstreet R which is based on the 992 series 911 Turbo and 911 Turbo S, German tuner Techart unveiled the Cabriolet version. The coupe and cabriolet variants of the GTstreet R will be produced in a limited number of 87 units.
Starting with the exterior design, the model gets a carbon fiber bodykit (matte, glossy, or forged) with extensions for the bumpers, fenders, and side sills, GT3 RS-style fender gills, a new bonnet with two inlets, a rear spoiler plus dual tailpipes for the stainless-steel sport exhaust system with valve control. The visual updates are identical to the fixed-top variant besides the spoiler that looks significantly smaller.

Porsche’s twin-turbo 3.8-liter flat-six got a new pair of turbochargers and reprogrammed software for the engine and the gearbox, allowing it to produce up to 789 hp (588 kW / 800 PS) and 701 lb-ft (950 Nm) of torque. This represents a healthy 148 hp (110 kW / 150 PS) and 111 lb-ft (150 Nm) power boost over the stock 911 Turbo S Convertible, allowing for a top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph). Techart is also offering a lesser variant with 700 hp (522 kW / 710 PS) and 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque, for those who prefer not to mess with the engine’s hardware.
In both cases, suspension can be lowered by 25 mm (1 inch) with the help of sports springs, or anywhere between 5-30 mm (0.2-1.2 inches) if the customer chooses the new coilover kit. Techart’s Formula VI forged center-lock 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels are available, with or without aero discs. For those who are going to be using their GTstreet R on track days, there is the optional Clubsport Package including performance seats, a roll cage, and fully adjustable coil-over suspension.
Inside there is a combination of Alcantara, leather, retro-styled fabrics, and carbon fiber according to the owner’s taste, Techart logogs plus a hand-crafted steering wheel. You can check out the options on the tuner’s official 3D configurator.
The total cost of the GTstreet R Cabriolet conversion starts from €63,000 ($73,604), which is cheaper than the GTstreet R’s €73,000 ($85,287) – probably due to the absence of the massive rear wing. In any case, you will have to provide the company with the Porsche 911 Turbo or Turbo S donor car.
