The new Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4 has triggered a lot of debate since its unveiling but it also got Abimelec Design thinking: what would a Countach-inspired variant of the Huracan look like?
In creating his Countach-themed Huracan, the skilled designer took direct inspiration from a particularly famous green Countach LP400 Prototipo that can be found at Lamborghini’s Italian museum.
The most obvious alteration made is the fitment of angular rear wheel arches which transform the look of the car. A set of classic-looking wheels have also been fitted. Compared to the Countach LPI 800-4, other bodywork alterations are quite minimal, but do include a silver accent across the front bumper and silver trimmings around the side windows.

Elsewhere, Abimelec Design has fitted an engine cover inspired by that of the Countach LP400 Prototipo, adding some extra flair to the car. The chrome-tipped taillights also extend out further than they do on a standard Huracan.
While the designer hasn’t published any photos of the car’s interior, we can see that it has been altered with rich tan leather and contrasting areas of light-tan Alcantara.
Unsurprisingly, this is just a flight of fancy, but as the Huracan is getting on a bit, having been launched in 2014 (and facelifted in 2019), we do expect to see some new limited-edition variants launched in the next couple of years to spice up interest in the “baby Lambo”.
