The updated Lexus NX is the latest vehicle from the Japanese car manufacturer to be available with a number of parts from Toyota Racing Development (TRD).

Kicking off the hose of upgrades is a unique front chin spoiler that adds some aggression to the SUV’s fascia. TRD also says this chin spoiler serves an aerodynamic function, resulting in improved steering response.

Complementing this new front spoiler are new wing mirror covers and extended side skirts, both of which aid in aerodynamics while also adding a new sense of styling to the NX. A pronounced diffuser has also been developed and can be paired with a sports exhaust system with quad tailpipes.

Lexus NX owners who want their vehicles to stand out even further can also option a set of 20-inch forged aluminum wheels with a complex spoke design and a gun metallic finish. They also weigh less than the standard wheels, helping reduce unsprung mass.

Elsewhere, TRD has developed front and rear performance dampers that help to reduce noise and vibrations. Underbody bracing is also available.

Our own Michael Gauthier recently had the opportunity to test the 2022 Lexus NX in the U.S. and found it to be a significant improvement over the old model. The most significant upgrades can be found in the NX’s interior where there is a semi-digital gauge cluster and a touchscreen offered in 9.8-inch and 14-inch forms.
