A few weeks after setting a lap record in Laguna Seca, the Czinger 21C did it again, this time in the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, where it proved to be a whole 6 seconds faster than the previous record-holder, the McLaren P1.
With a lap time of 2:11:33 confirmed by multiple GPS systems, the Czinger 21C became the fastest production car in the world around the Circuit of the Americas. The record was set on September 23rd at 9:50 am CT with driver Joel Miller sitting behind the wheel. The hypercar was in stock condition wearing Michelin Pilot Cup 2R street-legal tires. The company will showcase the record-breaking 21C during the F1 weekend in Austin.

The Czinger 21C which debuted in production form last June, produces a combined 1,233 hp (1,250 PS / 919 kW) that can be optionally increased by an extra 100 hp. The hybrid powertrain consists of a twin-turbo, 2.88-liter, flat-plane crank V8, a seven-speed sequential transmission, an 800V battery, plus two electric motors in the front axle.
Thanks to additive manufacturing technologies and AI, the hypercar weighs under 1,240 kg, allowing a weight-to-power ratio of 1:1 by metric standards. Czinger claims the 21C is capable of a 452 km/h (281 mph) top speed and completes the 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint in 1.9 seconds. Another possible record – if confirmed – would be the claimed 8.1 second time for the standing quarter-mile, which would beat the fully electric Rimac Nevera.
The hybrid track-focused hypercar will be manufactured in the US with a limited production of 80 units available in two configurations. The first deliveries of the 21C are scheduled for 2023.
