It has only been a few months since order books for the 2021 Ford F-150 Raptor opened and already, Hennessey Performance has got its hands on one and started testing it.
As you would imagine, the Texas tuner is planning a plethora of upgrades for the pickup truck but first, it strapped it to its dyno for a series of tests.

Like the older F-150 Raptor, this new one features a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6 that pumps out the same 450 hp and 510 lb-ft (691 Nm). While it is a bit of a shame that Ford didn’t give the Raptor any extra juice for 2021, talk of a potential V8-powered Raptor that will rival Ram’s 1500 TRX being in the works is enough to get anyone excited.
When strapped to the dyno and with the truck’s throttle depressed flat to the floor, the F-150 pumped out 361 hp at 4,990 rpm and 456 lb-ft (622 Nm) of torque at 3,710 rpm to the wheels, which, if we account for drivetrain losses, should be roughly in line with what Ford claims for the pickup.
Hennessey is planning a number of upgrades for the new F-150 Raptor. The first of these is dubbed the VelociRaptor 600 and, as the name implies, will be good for 600 hp, while torque will be increased to 622 lb-ft (843 Nm). These performance gains will be achieved through a new air induction system, high-capacity intercooler, and revised engine management software. A number of new off-road parts will also be developed for Ford’s performance pickup.
