BMW has already facelifted the X3 M and X4 M without any increases in their output. However, for those who want even more power than the 503 hp Competition there is always Manhart. The MHX3 600 is based on the X3 M offering more performance and a series of visual updates. The pictured model is called Limited 01/10 which means there will be nine more of this special edition coming out of Wuppertal.
The twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline-six has been tuned to produce 626 hp (467 kW / 635 PS) and 785 Nm (576 lb-ft) of torque. The 123 hp (92 kW / 126 PS) and 135 Nm (99 lb-ft) boost over the stock X3 M Competition was made possible thanks to the MHtronic auxiliary control unit. The same upgrades are offered for the M3-based MH3 600 which the same engine.

The performance-focused SUV also benefits from a stainless steel exhaust system with valve control and quad carbon tailpipes, and optional downpipes with 300-cell or 200-cell HJS catalytic converters for export markets.
As we can see from the pictures, the MHX3 600 Limited 01/10 is based on the pre-facelifted X3 M. Τhe matte dark blue wrap with the grey Manhart stickers looks great on the muscular body of the BMW. To spice up things even more, the carbon-fiber kit includes a splitter, intake accents, side flaps, mirror caps, and rear diffuser. More carbon-fiber bits can be found inside the cabin while all BMW logos are replaced by the tuner’s emblem.
The German tuner has also added a set of 22-inch Alpina alloy wheels shod in performance tires measuring 255/35ZR22 at the front and 295/30ZR22 at the rear. The suspension has been upgraded with H&R springs lowering the car by 30 mm (1.2 inches) for improved handling.
Manhart has listed the second example of the MHX3 600 on their Facebook page for €118,900 ($138,795). By comparison, the stock X3 M starts from $69,900 in the US, although Manhart’s tuned vehicle is based on the more expensive X3 M Competition. Finally, the same similar visual and performance upgrades are available for the sportier-looking X4 M Competition.
