A transporter truck carrying a bunch of brand new C8 Chevrolet Corvettes recently caught fire in a parking lot near Nashville, Tennessee.

Videos of the fire were first shared to the C8 Corvette Owners (and Friends) page on Facebook. It is unclear what triggered the blaze but it occurred early in the morning and was quickly attended to by local fire crews.

In the videos, a handful of C8 Corvettes wrapped in car covers can be seen engulfed in flames. Corvette Blogger reports that the transport truck in question can carry up to 10 Corvettes at a time. According to the site, though, only the first half of the trailer caught fire, so maybe not all ‘Vettes were destroyed.

The two Corvettes positioned at the front of the trailer are now nothing but a molten mess while a ‘Vette on the second level was also completely destroyed. The remains of a white and a blue model are also visible.

In a statement issued to Road & Track, a Chevrolet spokesperson confirmed that the truck driver was okay and that no one was injured.

“On Tuesday evening, a hauler carrying a load of new Corvettes caught fire in Tennessee after the driver pulled into a truck stop to investigate an issue with the truck,” the spokesperson said. “Fortunately, the driver of the truck is okay. Our vehicle logistics supplier is investigating. As we learn more, we will reach out to affected dealers and customers.”
