Biden Administration Appoints Tesla Critic Missy Cummings As NHTSA Safety Advisor

President Biden plans to fill two significant roles at the NHTSA, with Missy Cummings reported to fill the role of Safety Advisor. Cummings is a well-regarded autonomy researcher who has been vocal in her criticisms of Tesla. The move has already garnered a reaction from Tesla’s CEO, Elon Musk. The executive took to Twitter to say that “her track record is extremely biased against Tesla.” Cummings responded by saying that she was “happy to sit down and talk with [Musk] anytime.”


New 2022 Range Rover Leaked Ahead Of Next Week’s Reveal

After a teaser earlier in the week, the new 2022 Range Rover has been leaked by multiple sources. They show the front and sides of the car looking almost identical to the one it replaces, with subtle updates, including retractable door handles. The rear features more significant revisions, with slim vertical lamp units that appear as black panels when not illuminated and are connected via a transverse panel below the rear window on to which the Range Rover lettering is fixed.


Tesla Cybertruck Inches Closer To Production As Prototype Spotted With Side Mirrors And Wipers

Although delayed until 2022, testing of the Tesla Cybertruck appears to be going full steam ahead. A prototype was recently spotted at Merced County Castle Airport with a handful of new items, including side mirrors, what are said to be windshield wipers, more conventional wheels, and what appears to be fog lights.


Chevrolet’s Latest Crate Engine Is A Naturally Aspirated 10.35-Liter V8 With 1,004 Hp

Launching at next month’s SEMA auto show, Chevrolet’s latest crate engine is one for N/A power purists. This 10.35-liter lump can output 1,004 hp (749 kW / 1,018 PS) and 876 lb-ft (1,188 Nm) of torque, running on 93-octane gas, and revs up to a 7,000 rpm redline. It’s more powerful than the Dodge Hellephant crate engine and may provide stiff competition to the upcoming Ford Megazilla that is still under development.


2023 Corvette Z06 Convertible Teased As Company Hints At 8,600 RPM Redline

Released exactly 8,600 minutes before the debut (less than a week, in other words), Chevy has unveiled the latest teaser for the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06. The 8600 significance is a nod to the redline of the 5.5-liter flat-plane crank V8 engine. We also get a peek of the interior, with a carbon fiber steering wheel and heavily bolstered sport seats. Pictured also is two-tone upholstery as well as a Bose premium audio system. The 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 will be unveiled on October 26th at 12 p.m. ET


German Judge Orders Man To Sell His BMW 440i After Speeding To Flee The Police

A 23-year-old from Ludwigsburg, Germany, near Stuttgart, has been ordered to pay several fines and go without a license for a full year and has also been given three months to sell the BMW 440i with which he attempted to flee the police in April. The 23-year-old was accused of having driven through red lights and over sidewalks during his escape, something he denied in court. Police had abandoned the chase as they simply couldn’t keep up.

The wrapper, formerly known as Kanye West, has officially changed his name to “Ye.” The change was granted by a California courthouse after a petition was filed in August. Back in 2019, West suggested he might legally change his name to “Christian Genius Billionaire Kanye West” for a little bit, reports CNN.
