Riding a motorcycle can be dangerous; racing other bikes, at night, is not the wisest thing to do if you care about your well-being.

If you’ve ever spent any amount of time on YouTube, or social media in general, you’ve probably seen street racing videos of motorcyclists speeding through traffic at frightening speeds with no concern for their life or those around them. However, you may not have seen a video quite as crazy as this one.

This clip was recently shared to Reddit and filmed from the helmet-mounted camera of a biker. It shows him lining up alongside three other bikers and preparing to race along the near-empty motorway. All of a sudden, a motorcyclist speeds between the cammer and another biker at well over double the speed that they are traveling. It is truly frightening.

The speeding motorcyclist only had a couple of feet either side of them to split through traffic like they did and had they misjudged things, or had the cammer not seen them coming and swerved just a little to the left, a devastating crash could have been triggered.

An astute Redditor calculated that the cammer was probably traveling at about 34 mph (54.7 km/h) while the speeding biker could have been traveling as fast as 163.6 mph (263.2 km/h), almost five times as fast as the cammer. One can only imagine what would have happened if something went wrong…
