Ford Performance and Vaughn Gittin Jr. have a long-standing partnership and in their most recent project, they headed to the remote Faroe Islands with one of the wildest electric vehicles produced in recent years: the Ford Mustang Mach-E 1400.
This excellent 12-minute clip shows the drifting ace exploring the stunning scenery found across the self-governing North Atlantic archipelago which was willing to give him free rein along some of its stunning roads. The video is quite light-hearted and has some moments of comedy but gets particularly exciting after the 6:30 mark when Gittin Jr. takes the Mach-E 1400 to some gorgeous mountain roads.

Ford unveiled the Mustang Mach-E 1400 in mid-2020 as a technical demonstration for what electric vehicles are capable of. It is powered by no less than seven electric motors, three of which are mounted to the front differential while four are mounted to the rear and connected with a single driveshaft. All up, this wild electric concept has an output of 1,400 hp (1,419 PS).
Providing these motors with their energy is a 56.8 kWh battery pack with nickel manganese cobalt pouch cells that are said to offer high performance and a high discharge rate. The car was also built for track, drag strip, and gymkhana-style driving and offers a multitude of different setups to suit each occasion.
As the Mustang Mach-E 1400 doesn’t have a loud internal combustion engine like drift cars of yesteryear, the only sounds it produces is a high-pitched whine from the electric motors and the screeching of its tires.
