A dashcam video that has been shared to social media shows the moment a Ford Mustang slammed through a convenience store in the U.S.

The footage shows the driver of the fourth-generation Mustang traveling through an intersection near the store. However, when the Ford comes into view, it is sliding aggressively to the left and, with the driver obviously unable to control the car, it careens across the opposing lane of traffic, hops over a curb, jumps through a bush, and slams into the store.

Right after the crash, witnesses at the nearby gas station can be seen running over to survey the scene. A police officer also happened to be nearby and video from inside the store shows him checking to see if the driver was hurt.

Fortunately, the Mustang slammed into the rear storage area, rather than through the front doors, meaning the store owner wasn’t injured, although some inventory of drinks did take a big hit.

It is unclear what caused the driver of the Mustang to lose control. One possibility is that they slammed on the throttle while passing through the intersection, spinning up the car’s rear tires and causing it to swerve to the left. It is also possible the driver suffered some kind of medical episode and inadvertently tugged the steering wheel to the left. Whatever the case may be, it is fortunate that no other motorists or bystanders were injured – and, from the title on the Reddit post, we presume that the driver might have escaped unhurt as well.
