Honda/Acura Integra Type Rs are not a common sight in the U.S. but this particular example currently up for auction is even rarer than most.

Unlike the iconic DC2-generation Integra Type R that you may be familiar with, this 1996 model that’s listed at Bring a Trailer is actually a four-door sedan known as the DB8. It is one of just 2,292 examples that were produced for the 1996 model year in Japan and was imported to the United States by the selling dealer in June 2021.

Adorning the exterior of the car is Honda’s iconic shade of Championship White and the car continues to rock its original white 15-inch wheels wrapped in 195/55 Bridgestone Potenza RE-01R tires.

As this is a Japanese-spec model, it is right-hand drive and while that could be a bit of an inconvenience for some, the cabin itself is in good condition and retains the original Recaro front seats with black upholstery and red stitching. It also features a Pioneer double-din stereo, air conditioning, power windows and mirrors, a metal shift knob and a leather-wrapped Momo steering wheel.

Powering the car is Honda’s B18C 1.8-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder with VTEC that pumps out 197 hp and 131 lb-ft (177 Nm) of torque. This engine revs to 8,500 rpm and is coupled to a five-speed manual transmission driving the front wheels.

Interestingly, the Integra Type R was sold on Bring A Trailer for $35,000 back in mid-September. However, the winner failed to follow through with their commitment to purchase it, hence why it has been relisted.
