Skoda continues the teaser campaign for the Slavia sub-compact sedan designed for the Indian market. After showing us sketches of the exterior, it has released a sketch of the interior ahead of the model’s official debut that will take place on November 18.
As we expected, the dashboard of the Slavia is mostly derived from the Fabia supermini. Despite being a budget-friendly offering, the sedan gets a pretty modern interior following the design language of larger models like the Scala and the Octavia.
Skoda says that the infotainment touchscreen will be up to 10-inches in diameter, besting Fabia’s 9.2-inch unit and matching the larger Octavia. We can also see the 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster behind the characteristic two-spoke steering wheel.

Other details include the round climate vents divided by the horizontal trim, and the Skoda-branded cover at the side of the instrument cluster. We also expect several Simply Clever solutions borrowed from other Skoda models. The Slavia gets different door cards from the Fabia that look more like the ones used on the VW Polo and the VW Virtus.
The Slavia will be based on the MQB-A0-IN platform that was developed by Skoda for the Indian market. It will slot below the Octavia with a length of 4,541 mm (178 inches), effectively replacing the aging Indian-spec Rapid. Design-wise it will integrate Skoda’s latest design language with a sculpted body, a sporty roofline, and a Fabia-inspired face.
Skoda has confirmed that the Slavia’s engine range will include the 1.0 TSI three-cylinder producing 113 hp (85 kW / 115 PS) mated to a six-speed manual gearbox, and the more powerful 1.5 TSI four-cylinder producing 148 hp (110 kW / 150 PS) that will be optionally offered with a seven-speed DSG transmission.
The Skoda Slavia will debut on November 18 with production starting soon in Pune, India, alongside the mechanically-related Kushaq B-SUV.
