A number of very special cars were showcased to the world at last week’s SEMA Show and these included a particularly electrifying (or is that Tesla-fying?) 964-generation Porsche 911.
The restomod 911 in question comes from a company dubbed Electric GT and features an eGT913 powertrain that also fits Porsche 912 models. This system consists of a Tesla-sourced electric motor with 436 hp that works alongside a custom computer system to ensure everything runs smoothly. Torque sits at 331 lb-ft (448 Nm).

Providing this motor with its juice is Electric GT’s own liquid-cooled 47 kWh battery pack which is actually split into two packs with one in the frunk and one under the original engine cover. The powertrain has a 400-volt EV system and a 6.6 kW on-board charger that allows the battery to charge from zero to 85 per cent in 45 minutes. On a full charge, it should travel around 160 miles (257 km).
While converting the car to electric has increased its weight to 2,677 lbs (1,214kg), Electric GT has been able to improve the weight distribution to 45/55 front-rear. Customers can also option a Cold Climate Package for an additional $2,600 and an extra 6.6 on-board charger for $2,850.
The entire electric powertrain will set back shoppers a cool $55,000 and that’s before you factor in the price of the 964 itself.
Electric GT has modified the exterior of the car comprehensively, fitting enlarged front and rear wheel arches and installing a new engine cover and tailgate spoiler. A set of black aftermarket wheels are also featured and wrapped in Hoosier A1 slick tires.
