The LA Auto Show has been in full swing thanks to a number of manufacturers showing off their latest models and new concepts, with EVs clearly dominating the show. Hyundai SEVEN Concept Is An Electric, Autonomous-Capable SUV That Previews The Ioniq 7
The primary design language of the Hyundai Seven Concept is expected to carry over to the forthcoming MY24 Ioniq 7. The concept features a flexible lounge-like interior and autonomous tech, although we wouldn’t hold our breath expecting some of those aspects to feature on the production version. Like the Kia EV9 below, tech details were kept light, but it is built on the E-GMP EV platform.
Kia EV9 Concept Prepares Us For New Electric 3-Row SUV The Size Of The Telluride
Riding on the same E-GMP architecture as the Hyundai SEVEN is Kia’s EV9 concept — their take on an all-electric full-size SUV. The design previews what a future Telluride-sized all-electric SUV from Kia will look like when it debuts for the 2024 model year. The interior features multiple configurations with swiveling seats that can form a mini-meeting room or a makeshift viewing gallery with the rear tailgate open.
This Is The New 2022 Mazda CX-60 Two-Row SUV
Say hello to the new Mazda CX-60, unofficially revealed just a day after the CX-50 made its debut. From what was seen, there will be two front-end choices, with a blacked-out, sportier nose spied in addition to the move conventional snout above. The CX-60 is part of Mazda’s plan to release a new line of SUVs for the U.S market in 2022/2023 and is expected to be joined later by the CX-70 and eventually a three-row CX-90.
BMW Concept XM Teased With Illuminated Nostrils Just In Case You Miss Them
While we’re really not sure what Citreon is making of BMW’s “XM,” one thing is for sure: those looks aren’t for shrinking violets. The XM will be BMW’s first standalone M model since the M1 supercar and the teaser sketch reveals a massive and illuminated kidney grille sitting between two thin LED headlights. There are also additional roof-mounted LEDs which will be a first for BMW. We won’t have long to wait to find out what the finished product looks like, since its debut is scheduled for November 29th.
2022 Genesis Electrified GV70 Has 482 HP And 800-Volt Charging Technology
Genesis has taken off the covers to the 2022 Electrified GV70 at the Guangzhou Auto Show in China. The GV70 gets a pair of electric motors to deliver a combined 482 hp (360 kW) and 516 lb-ft (700 Nm) of torque in Boost Mode, enough to send the SUV to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.5 seconds. There’s no word on the specifics of the battery pack, but the new car will use the same 400V/800V rapid charging technology as other models in the Hyundai family. Just 18 minutes are needed to charge the battery from 10 percent to 80 percent when plugged into a 350 kW rapid charger, while the Electrified GV70 can travel a claimed 400 km per charge on the Korean testing cycle.
2023 Subaru Solterra Arrives In America With 220+ Mile Range And Standard AWD
Subaru is bringing its first-ever EV to the U.S, with a driving range of 220 miles (354 km) and a 215 bhp all-wheel drive set-up. The Solterra has been jointly developed with Toyota’s bZ4X (of which you can find more on below) and features very subtle visual differences. The compact electric crossover will land in dealerships across the States in mid-2022.
First Look: 2023 Toyota bZ4X Electric Crossover Debuts In U.S., Offers Up To 250 Mile Range
Toyota’s first dedicated battery electric vehicle, the bZ4X, will be offered for sale in all 50 states, so we traveled to California to bring you our first impressions. While we haven’t yet been able to drive it, things look promising. The EV has a long wheelbase, which means the cabin is surprisingly spacious. The entry-level variant has a 71.4 kWh lithium-ion battery, which powers a front-mounted electric motor that develops 201 hp (150 kW / 204 PS). Customers can also get a dual-motor, all-wheel drive powertrain, which features a larger 72.8 kWh battery as well as front and rear electric motors that produce a combined output of 215 hp (160 kW / 218 PS).
2022 Porsche 718 GT4 RS Unveiled As The Most Extreme Cayman Ever And Porsche Expands 2022 Taycan Range With Sport Turismo That Ditches SUV Styling Cues And New GTS
Porsche went all in at the 2021 Los Angeles Auto Show when they pulled the covers off the 2022 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS. Compared to its already capable sibling, the GT4, the RS is 23.6 seconds faster around the Nurburgring. Meanwhile, the 2022 Taycan range gets two new models. Firstly, the new GTS sits between the top-flight Taycan Turbo and the 4S, blending both performance and luxury. In addition, the Taycan GTS Sport Turismo ditches the SUV-eque styling of the Cross to embrace a true shooting brake style.

Apple Will Let People Fix Their Own Phones
Apple will soon let you fix your own iPhone or Mac, with plans to start selling parts and tools. Apple is calling the program “Self Service Repair,” and it’ll launch “early next year” in the US, while according to TechCrunch, it won’t void the device warranty.
Visa vs Amazon Feud Continues
Visa stock has continued to fall after Amazon announced that, from January 2022, it would stop accepting Visa credit cards issued by the company in the UK. The feud is over high transaction fees, which were hiked earlier this year, reports Business Insider.
