The first photos of a production 2023 Lincoln Zephyr have been published online ahead of the car’s debut at the Guangzhou Motor Show. They reveal a vehicle whose design looks very similar to the concept car it is based on, the Zephyr Reflection.

Despite smaller wheels and a few other concessions to practicality, the Zephyr we see here is a pretty handsome model with a rather large grille. Shown in two specs, we can presume that the sedan with the shinier grille will be more focused on luxury, while the blacked-out model will be sportier, at least in terms of appearance.

Chinese media reports that the new car will be 4,982mm long, 1,865mm wide and x1,485mm long (196x73x58 inches respectively), riding on a 2,930mm (115-inch)-wheelbase to offer plenty of room to rear-seat passengers.

Power is expected to come from a 2.0-liter turbo engine that makes 238 hp (241 PS/177 kW) and 277 lb-ft (376 Nm) of torque, funneled to the front wheels through a standard eight-speed automatic transmission.

If these specs sound a little familiar, and the shape of the car looks familiar as well, that’s because a similar request to the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information revealed photos of the new Ford Mondeo today, too.

Lincoln had previewed the Zephyr through the sleek looking Reflection concept earlier this year

A bit smaller than the Lincoln, Ford’s version is also expected to be powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine mated to an eight-speed gearbox.

We expect more information about both sedans at the Guangzhou Motor Show, which is set to kick off on November 19.
