A heavily-modified 1972 Chevrolet Corvette has just hit the used car market and if you want a ride that drives as if it was new but has those classic 1970’s looks, this could be the perfect car for you.
No stone has been left unturned in upgrading this ‘Vette. Work started under the skin with the fitment of an SRIII Motorsports Stage II frame. The car was then fitted with power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering and a 6.0-liter LS2 V8 engine coupled to a T56 six-speed manual Tremec transmission.
The Bring a Trailer listing notes that the engine has a GM Performance Hot Cam kit, 243 cylinder heads, and a 10.9:1 compression. It is unclear exactly how much horsepower and torque this upgraded V8 makes, but we know the car has only been driven 600 miles (~1,000 km) since the refurbishment. The engine and engine bay have also been repainted in satin Ruby Red.

Elsewhere, the Corvette has a Dana 44 rear end, Wilwood brakes at all four corners, MagnaFlow mufflers, aluminum suspension components and Viking Performance coilovers.
The interior of the car has also been heavily updated and includes seats from a C7 Corvette that are trimmed in tan leather upholstery that also adorns the dashboard and door panels. There is also an aftermarket leather-wrapped steering wheel, an aluminum shifter, and a Pioneer touchscreen stereo system.
Some exterior work has also been done to the car, including a new Ruby Red paint scheme with Caribou Black Metaellic hood accents. The chrome bumpers have also been shortened and tucked and the Corvette sits on 19-inch Forgeline RB3C wheels.
