A striking 2020 McLaren Speedtail will head to auction in January and is bound to sell for a serious sum.

This particular Speedtail was delivered new to prolific car collector and successful businessman Michael Fux. It is being sold alongside a Ferrari 812 GTS, Ferrari SF90 Stradale, and a Ferrari F8 Spider also owned by Fux and is number 100 of the 106 units that McLaren built.

Immediately making Fux’s Speedtail stand out from all others is the special Volcano Yellow paint scheme that really makes the British hypercar look like a spaceship. Complementing the paint scheme are black 10-spoke lightweight wheels, polished brightwork, a gloss black engine cover, and Galvanic Grey brushed accents.

Fux has never been shy with how he specs his vehicles and this is no more evident than in the interior of the Speedtail. Adorning the seats, side sills, headliner, and door panels is bespoke Yellow leather ordered through McLaren Special Operations. Other parts of the cabin are clad in black leather while there are also a number of carbon fiber accents. The seats also have McLaren logos embroidered into the headrests.

The Mecum Auctions listing fails to mention how many miles the car has been driven but we suspect Fux has only driven it a handful of times and views it now as the perfect opportunity to flip it for a nice profit. The car isn’t road-legal in the U.S. due to its lack of traditional wing mirrors.

As a reminder, the McLaren Speedtail is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 with a hybrid system delivering a total of 1,035 hp.
