The Lamborghini Huracan Evo is very fast but the owner of this example was in for a rude awakening when he tried to race it against the car that stormed up this year’s Pikes Peak International Hill Climb faster than any other.
The insane race car in question is the Wolf GB08 TSC-LT. It competed in the Unlimited class at Pikes Peak and with racer Robin Shute behind the wheel, set a blistering time of 5:55.246 (snow forced organizers to move the finish line down the mountain, hence the ID.R-beating time).

Powering the Wolf is a Honda-sourced K20 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that has been turbocharged and pumps out 650 hp. Making the racer all the more impressive is the fact that it weighs just 1,300 lbs (590 kg).
Meanwhile the Huracan Evo features an naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 with 640 hp and despite having the advantage of all-wheel drive, it has no hope against the Wolf in a drag race from a standing start.
To give the raging bull a chance, the guys from Hoonigan allowed the Huracan to get a rolling start from around 15 mph (24 km/h) while the Wolf driver had to launch the car off the line. This results in a very close race, so much so that the Lamborghini only managed to finish just a couple of feet ahead of the Wolf, despite the driver of the K20-powered weapon getting a poor launch.
