Rimac has started construction of a new global headquarters just outside of the Croatian capital of Zagreb, that will form one of the largest combined R&D and production facilities in Europe.
Located in Sveta Nedelja, the Rimac Campus will serve as the production base for all future models from the car manufacturer, including the Nevera. It is located on a 200,000 square meter site and will feature an on-site test track, a museum, and design, engineering, production and testing facilities.

“Ever since I founded the company, building the best possible working environment was key to me,” company founder and chief executive Mate Rimac said in a statement. “It is more natural to create great products when one is in the right surroundings. With the Campus we want to do exactly that – create the best environment for working and creativity, but not only for our employees. This is a place where customers, students and the general public are welcome and invited to mingle with our employees. We also take great care to integrate the facility into nature and its surroundings and to be carbon neutral.”
The site has been designed in such a way that it can be expanded over time should additional space be required. It will ultimately accommodate over 2,500 employees, more than double the automaker’s current headcount.
Rimac has designed the Campus to be as efficient and advanced as possible and developed an urban swamp with meadows, a rooftop garden, a command center, VR-rooms, and several top-secret project rooms. There will also be a high-end customization studio, a bar, retail space, a games room, gym and training center, restaurant, and even a kindergarten with farm animals.
