A number of intriguing vehicles are currently on display at the Los Angeles Auto Show, including a trio of three-wheelers with electric powertrains.
The first vehicle is the Electra Meccanica Solo. It was actually first unveiled way back in September 2016 and rocks an electric motor with 82 hp and 140 lb-ft (190 Nm) of torque, fed by a 16.1 kWh lithium-ion battery pack good for 100 miles (160 km) of range. The Solo was supposed to reach the hands of customers in 2017 but the first deliveries only started last month. It is being manufactured at a facility in Mesa, Arizona.

A second electric three-wheeler also caught our eye in LA, the Sondors EV (above). It too was first unveiled a few years ago after a successful round of crowdfunding. It is powered by an electric motor with 170 hp and 323 lb-ft of torque, driven by a 33 kWh battery pack. Sondors claims it can travel up to 100 miles (160 km) on a charge.
Last but not least is the Sagitta, a three-wheeler produced by Imperium Motors (below). We don’t yet have any technical specifications about the car but know it has been brought to life thanks to a collaboration with California Mobility Works (CMW) and will begin testing and validation after its LA duties are completed.
Imperium Motors plans to start accepting reservations for the vehicle in mid-2022 before limited production starts late next year. While the Sagitta only has three wheels, it promises seating for four people.
