The 2023 Kia Niro was presented to the world at least week’s Seoul Mobility Show and Asian Petrolhead has had the chance to check it out in person.
Like many of its other new models, Kia decided to give the second-gen Niro a much more radical design than its predecessor. It takes inspiration from the 2019 HabaNiro concept and sports redesigned headlights and LED daytime running lights as well as LED taillights stretching up the pillars.
In person, the new crossover is certainly quite striking and during the clip, the YouTuber checks it out in both hybrid and all-electric guise. The two models look virtually identical, although the EV has a faux front grille with a charging port right below.

One key features of the new Niro that really makes it stand out is a painted element behind the rear doors that accentuates the look of the C-pillars and the taillights.
The interior of the 2023 Niro is also radically different than its predecessor. It comes standard with an all-digital instrument cluster and a large infotainment screen and there is also a dial-type shift lever on the center console and a two-spoke steering wheel similar to what’s found in the Kia EV6.
Kia has confirmed that like the first-generation Niro, the new model will be offered with hybrid-electric (HEV), plug-in hybrid (PHEV), and pure-electric powertrains, although it hasn’t announced specifications for them yet.
