The Ford Mustang Mach-E GT sits at the top of the Mach-E range and if you’re in the market for a well-priced, attractive, and quick electric crossover, it is a very good option, according to Doug DeMuro.
The Mustang Mach-E GT features a pair of electric motors that combine to pump out 480 hp and 600 lb-ft (813 Nm) of torque. This is enough to send the crossover to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 3.8 seconds. A ‘Performance Edition’ version with 634 lb-ft (859.5 Nm) of torque is also available.

As DeMuro explains, a number of other things differentiate the Mach-E GT from other variants. For example, it has larger wheels wrapped in stickier tires, is equipped with red brake calipers, and the suspension has been re-tuned. Ford has also fitted the GT with an extended front splitter, a blacked-out faux grille, and an illuminated Mustang badge.
The changes continue in the cabin, although they are minimal. For example, the GT has unique side sills and a GT badge stamped into the leather of the center arm rest. It also features an additional drive mode dubbed ‘Unbridled Extend’ that tightens up the steering, makes the power delivery more rear-biased, and switches off the regenerative braking.
Of course, there is much more to an EV than performance and the Mach-E does have some other things going for it. For example, DeMuro is impressed with the rear headroom and legroom, making it comfortable for four adults.
