The teaser campaign for the Lotus Type 132 continues as the company has announced the model is “coming to life” in the spring of 2022.

Besides confirming when the electric crossover will be introduced, the latest video provides a recap of the first four teasers.

We’ve already covered a handful of them and they show the crossover will be equipped with an active grille shutter as well as active aerodynamics. The model will also have a front LIDAR sensor that supports “Lotus’ pioneering intelligent drive technologies on its new generation of electric vehicles.” Furthermore, the video provides a peek at the crossover’s floating infotainment system and its “immersive start-up sequence of multiple screens, sounds and lights.”

The video isn’t very revealing, but previous teasers have shown the model will have slender LED headlights and digital side mirrors. The crossover will also sport carbon fiber components and edgy bodywork.

While Lotus is keeping details under wraps, the company has previously confirmed the Type 132 will ride on their new Premium architecture which supports C- to E-segment vehicles with wheelbases spanning between 113.7 to 122 inches (2,889 to 3,100 mm). The platform will be used to underpin a variety of different models including a four-door coupe in 2023, a smaller crossover in 2025, and a sports car in 2026.

The upcoming vehicles will feature 800-volt technology and battery packs with capacities ranging from 92-120 kWh. Lotus has also suggested they’ll offer impressive performance as some models will be able to accelerate from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in less than three seconds.
