If you’re in the market for a classic BMW that will drop jaws wherever you go, this could be the one for you.
What you’re looking at is a 1974 BMW 2002 Turbo, one of just 1,672 units that were built. It is currently up for auction in Tampa, Florida and with less than two days left in the auction, bidding had already hit the $65,000 mark at the time of writing.

Adorning the exterior of the car is Chamonix White paint with flared factory wheel arches and BMW Motorsport color stripes and Turbo decals. It sits on the original chrome and silver wheels, has a pronounced lip spoiler at the rear, and sports black badges, a chrome rear bumper and chrome wing mirrors. Exterior wear seems minimal, not surprising since the car has only ever been driven 23,612 miles (38,000 km) since it left the factory almost five decades ago.
A look inside the cabin reveals gorgeous black leather front seats and a rear bench. There is also a red instrument cluster, original floor mats, and a white headliner.
Powering the standard BMW 2002 was a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine available with 99 hp and 118 hp. In 1973, the 2002 Turbo was introduced as the automaker’s first turbocharged production car producing an impressive, for the time, 168 hp at 5,800 rpm and 177 lb-ft (240 Nm) of torque.
The Collecting Cars listing notes the car was delivered new in Sweden and up until a few months ago, lived in France.
