Sure, the original Acura NSX has less power than the current Civic Type R but make no mistake, it is an icon of the automotive world and an especially gorgeous example is currently up for auction.
This NSX is a 1998 model and is actually an NSX-T, meaning it has a removable targa-style roof panel. The listing reveals that it has only been driven 21,000 miles (~33,800 km) and is being offered in Texas with manufacturer’s literature, a window sticker, the original sales invoice, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title.

The exterior of the NSX-T is finished in Formula Red, making it one of just 55 examples built for 1998 in this color. It sits on staggered 16- and 17-inch wheels with Kumho Ecsta XS tires measuring 215/45 up front and 245/40 at the rear. The Bring a Trailer seller notes that there are some scuffs on the front lip and some of the clear coat has peeled off the front bumper.
Found in the cabin of the NSX-T is black leather across the seats, console, dashboard, and door panel inserts. Among the key features include automatic climate control, cruise control, a Bose stereo system, and power-adjustable seats.
Power comes courtesy of a 3.2-liter naturally aspirated V6 with VTEC variable valve timing and lift electronic control that’s rated at 290 hp and 255 lb-ft (345 Nm) when it was new. This engine is coupled to a six-speed manual transmission driving the rear wheels through a Torsen limited-slip differential.
At the time of writing, and with a few hours left into the auction, the highest bid for this NSX stood at $98,000.
