The latest-generation 2022 Ford Ranger has been a long time coming and in just a few hours, it will be unveiled.
Ford will lift the veil on the 2022 Ranger during a livestream that can be viewed on YouTube. The new model will be sold throughout important markets around the world, including in the United States. However, the model that Ford will showcase tonight is the international-spec model, rather than the U.S.-spec one.
A teaser released of the new pickup truck reveals reshaped LED headlights and daytime running lights. The front-end of the 2022 Ranger will also have a re-designed grille and all-in-all, it should look quite similar to the smaller Maverick and the larger F-150. Spy shots of camouflage prototypes have also revealed that the rear will receive some updates, including new taillights and a revised bed.

Found beneath the skin of the new Ranger is tipped to be an updated version of the T6 ladder-frame architecture used by the Bronco and also set to underpin the 2023 Volkswagen Amarok.
A multitude of different engines will be available. These should include a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder, a 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6, and a 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6 that could power a new Ranger Raptor to top out the family. Select markets will also be offered the new Ranger with a 2.0-liter EcoBlue bi-turbo four-cylinder diesel and a plug-in hybrid.
We’re told that production of the new Ranger will start in Thailand and South Africa from next year.
