It’s not very often that we get to see rare, high-priced supercars strapped to a dyno but that’s exactly what this video shows.

This clip was recently shared on YouTube by NM2255 and shows a Bugatti EB 110 being tested on the road before getting strapped on to the dyno for some runs. It is unclear just why the car was being tested on a dyno but we suspect it may have had some engine maintenance performed and the shop simply wanted to ensure that everything was working correctly.

Bugatti famously built the EB 110 between 1991 and 1995 and only ever produced 139 examples, making it significantly rarer than the likes of the Veyron and Chiron. It is powered by a quad-turbocharged 3.5-liter V12 with 12 individual throttle bodies and produces 553 hp at 8,000 rpm and 451 lb-ft (611 Nm) of torque at 3,750 rpm. Super Sport models were tuned to deliver 603 hp at 8,250 rpm and 479 lb-ft (650 Nm) at 4,200 rpm.

The presence of a V12 engine means the EB 110 sounds significantly different than the Veyron and Chiron and has a soundtrack more reminiscent of a supercar from Italy. Sure, it doesn’t quite howl like a Ferrari or Lamborghini V12 but we think it has a more soulful tone to it than more modern Bugatti models and loves to rev in a way that Bugatti’s W16 simply doesn’t.
