Today is Cyber Monday and that means online retailers will be busy as consumers are expected to spend $11.3 (£8.5 /€10) billion.

While that’s less than previous years, customers who order from Amazon could find themselves receiving their item in a special box from Volkswagen.

Designed to promote the Taos, the blue box has a QR code that will take users to a web-based augmented reality experience. The latter features a virtual 3D city and users can select between four different “musical moods,” each featuring a different colored crossover.

While you don’t get to drive the vehicle, Volkswagen is enticing users to take part by offering three months of Amazon Music Unlimited for free. The company will be sending out more than one million boxes to Amazon customers across the country and you can check out the experience by visiting this link.

Volkswagen said the campaign is designed to highlight the “joy of driving” and show “how it’s more than going from Point A to B.” Volkswagen’s Kimberley Gardiner added, “This innovative, virtual introduction to our all-new Taos gives potential buyers a unique, music-driven way to experience another moment of joy from this SUV.”

Speaking of the Taos, Volkswagen’s entry-level crossover starts at $22,995 and features a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 158 hp (118 kW / 160 PS) and 184 lb-ft (249 Nm) of torque. Front-wheel drive variants are equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission, while all-wheel drive models come with a seven-speed DSG gearbox.
