Chevrolet has just announced a limited-run variant of the Camaro dubbed the Wild Cherry Edition. Just 10 units will be produced and will be available exclusively in the Japanese market.
The special edition gets its name from the special shade of Wild Cherry Tint Coat that adorns the exterior. Contrasting the red paint are silver racing stripes that stretch over the muscle car’s hood. Chevrolet has also equipped the Camaro Wild Cherry Edition with unique 5 split-spoke silver painted wheels.
Curiously, only a single image of the car has been released, meaning we can’t yet see what the interior looks like. However, Chevy does say that it has used a combination of jet black and adrenaline red throughout the cabin to make it stand out from a standard Camaro.

All 10 examples will be based on Japan’s entry-level Camaro LT RS trim level with prices starting at 5,990,000 yen ($52,789). Sales officially kicked off on December 7 and deliveries are scheduled to start in May 2022.
The American automaker has also announced pricing for the rest of the 2022 Camaro line-up in Japan. The LT RS variant starts at 5,690,000 ($50,145) while those that upgrade to a Camaro Convertible will need to fork out at least 6,590,000 ($58,077) yen. Topping out the local range is the Camaro SS that’s priced from 7,290,000 yen ($64,246).
This isn’t the first time Chevy has introduced a limited-edition model in Japan. Back in January 2020, it unveiled the Camaro Heritage Edition that was capped at just 90 units, all with a rally green metallic paint scheme.
