Ford has tweaked pricing for the 2022 Mustang Mach-E, meaning the all-electric SUV is now more expensive than ever.
When the 2022 model year Mustang Mach-E was first introduced earlier in the year, the base model was priced exactly the same as the 2021MY while other variants were a tad pricier. From December 8 onwards, prices have jumped further and some buyers will need to cough up $3,000 more.
Found at the base of the 2022 Mach-E range is the Select. It had previously started at $42,895 but that price has now increased by $1,000 to $43,895. Similarly, prices for the Mach-E Premium have also jumped by $1,000 from $48,100 to $49,100.

Prices have jumped further for the California Route 1 and GT variants. In fact, the Mach-E California Route 1 now starts at $52,775, a $2,000 increase. Similarly, prices of the Mach-E GT have increased by $2,000 to $61,995.
Ford has also increase prices for the optional GT Performance Package and Extended Range Battery, each by $1,000, Cars Direct notes. All of these prices are before the $7,500 federal EV tax credit and a destination fee.
The Ford Mustang Mach-E’s most direct rival is the Tesla Model Y. In Long Range guise, the Model Y starts at $53,940 while the Model Y Performance is available from $58,940. Importantly, these figures include a $750 California Clean Fuel Reward and potential incentives and gas savings totaling $5,050.
