The all-new Genesis G90 has been spotted in person for the very first time, not long after the South Korean automaker unveiled a handful of detailed renderings of the luxury sedan.

This particular G90 was spotted parked up on a street in Korea and is painted in black. It is also covered in quite a lot of dust, somewhat dulling the metallic appearance of the paint. Nevertheless, it is good to see it in the flesh for the first time.

Genesis has given the new G90 the same ‘Athletic Elegance’ design language as found across the rest of its line-up. As such, it features a large Crest grille and sleek Two-Line headlight lamps. The automaker has also equipped the 2022 G90 with a clamshell-style hood. Significant alterations have also been made to the rear of the car thanks to new LED taillights and a pair of LED light bars stretching the width of the rear.

This particular G90 is obviously a prototype and had some areas of its interior covered in a black sheet. Nevertheless, this is our first chance to see the cabin of the car as Genesis has yet to release photos of the interior. Up front we can see a two-spoke steering wheel that’s quite different than other Genesis models. The cabin also has a two-tone leather finish.

The rear of the cabin appears particularly luxurious. Found back there are a pair of plush seats divided by a large center console that houses various seat adjustment controls and also appears to sport a large display and the same rotary control dial as is found up front. This prototype also has two large screens behind the front seats.

Genesis has yet to release technical specifications for the new G90 but has confirmed it will launch in the U.S. as a 2023 model and arrive in select overseas markets as a 2022 model.
