Two weeks after confirming that the last V12 Vantage will debut in 2022, Aston Martin has published another teaser revealing the front end of the flagship variant of the sportscar.
Unlike what we thought from the heavily camouflaged prototype that was caught testing at the Nürburgring last August, the production version seems quite subtle in terms of the aero.

More specifically, the V12 Vantage gets a redesigned front bumper compared to the V8-powered Vantage and Vantage Roadster featuring a slightly larger grille, vertical intakes, and a more prominent two-part splitter. It also appears to have a different bonnet following the pattern from its predecessors. While we can’t see the car from other angles we should expect a new pair of wheels hiding under the wider front and rear fenders, and a larger rear diffuser with center-mounted exhaust pipes.
Next to the new model, we can see the limited-production V600 V12 Vantage and the regular V12 Vantage of the previous generation highlighting that this will be the last of its kind. Other V12-powered Vantage-based models were the V12 Zagato coachbuilding project and Aston Martin’s own V12 Speedster.

The V8-powered Vantage Roadster and Vantage Coupe.
Earlier rumors suggest that the launch of the last V12 Vantage in 2022 could coincide with updates for the rest of the Vantage range since the model was originally introduced back in 2017, with the Roadster following in 2020. What we know for sure is that next year Aston Martin will drop the option of a manual gearbox from their entire range.
Aston Martin is already preparing the next generation of both the Vantage and the DB11 which will reportedly become fully electric, making the current modes future collectibles, as they will be the last ones equipped with an internal combustion engine.
