The availability of dashcam footage has given us a pretty good insight into reckless driving all around the world over the past few years. Lately, we came across three different cases of bad drivers in the U.S. that seem to be the definition of instant karma since they were all pulled over by the police shortly after the incidents.
The first video was shot on November 2021 at the MD 100 highway in Maryland. It all started when a Jeep Liberty (KJ) came out of nowhere approaching a black Cadillac Escalade at a very high speed. Instead of slowing down and trying to overtake from the left side, the driver of the Jeep decided it was a good idea to use the emergency lane on the right side of the road in a dangerous maneuver.

Thankfully the stunt didn’t result in a collision. However, this kind of driving behavior is unacceptable since it is putting in danger other users of the road. Just a few seconds after the incident, a police car turned on its siren and lights starting a very short but efficient highway pursue, pulling over the driver of the Jeep.
The second video was shot in August 2015 at the Angeles Crest Highway in California. A driver of a red Mazda MX-5 NC thought he could overtake at high speed during a no-passing zone while cruising with the top down. Luckily no cars appeared when he was on the wrong side of the road and no collision occurred. However, shortly after he completed the overtaking maneuver, a police car appeared from the other side of the road prompting him to pull over.

The third and last video we have for you today involves a hit and run accident which is criminal behavior and shouldn’t remain unpunished. It was shot back in 2012 but got uploaded on YouTube a few days ago from a channel called Road Idiots. As a blue truck is cruising on a cloudy day, someone behind the wheel of an old Acura TL rear-ends it and flees the scene without stopping to check if the driver is okay and fill up the necessary paperwork.
After a short pause, the victim of the hit and run decided to follow the reckless driver from a safe distance. Luckily, a police car was parked nearby and got informed about the accident. Then, the officers managed to pursuit the gray Acura, pull it over, and handcuff the driver who is going to get into some serious trouble for his decision not to stop after causing damage to the truck.
