The driver of a Honda CR-V has been lucky to avoid serious injuries after being cut off by a pickup truck at an intersection in the U.S.
Dashcam footage of the accident was recently shared to Reddit and filmed from the dashboard of a truck that was driving behind the CR-V. According to the user who uploaded the video, his realtor was driving the Honda at the time and he was following closely behind while on the way to look at a property.
As the driver of the CR-V approaches the intersection, the lights turn to orange but without enough time to brake, the driver continues and enters the intersection. At the same time, the driver of a pickup truck traveling in the opposite direction turns to their left, directly in front of the CR-V. The Honda driver has no time to react and T-bones the pickup, briefly lifting it up onto two wheels.

Fortunately for all those involved, a police officer driving an unmarked Ford Explorer cruiser saw the entire accident unfold.
The uploader states that the CR-V driver was “an old guy” and suffered minor injuries in the crash.
While the driver of the pickup was obviously to blame for the crash, their insurance company apparently wasn’t too keen to pay. However, once the insurer was provided with this video, they quickly decided to pay up and settle the claim.
