A Porsche 928 formerly owned by Daimler AG has found its way onto Holland’s used car market.

The car has been listed on sale through Gallery Aaldering and the listing notes that when it was brand new, it was delivered to Daimler. It is unclear why the German brand purchased the car and whether it was driven by a high-ranking executive or if it was used as a benchmark while Mercedes-Benz was developing the R129-generation SL.

Regardless of Daimler’s reason for purchasing the sports car, it didn’t stay with them for very long and in 1990 it was sold to a Spanish aristocrat who kept it until late 2020.

The listing notes that the car is completely original and that the Venezia Blau paint has been well cared for, although there are a few minor blemishes, but that’s expected of a vehicle this age. The original wheels are also fitted.

A look inside the 928’s interior reveals Leatherette Navy Blue adorns virtually every surface from the seats to the transmission tunnel, dashboard, steering wheel, instrument cluster shroud, door panels, and pillars. Among the nice features found within include electrically adjustable and heated seats with a memory function, electric windows, a sunroof, a premium audio system, and the original Blaupunkt radio.

Powering the 928 is a 5.0-liter naturally-aspirated V8 mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The car was checked over by mechanics at the Madrid Porsche center in December 2020 and has been driven a touch over 148,194 km(~92,000 miles). If you want the keys to it, you’ll have to part ways with €44,500 (~$50,000).
