Members at the upscale Grand Harbor Golf Course in Vero Beach, Florida weren’t the only people getting their drink on as an alleged drunk driver attempted to ‘play through’ while running from police.

According to the Indian River County Sheriff’s Office, the incident started on Tuesday afternoon when a deputy attempted to pull over 60-year-old Jodi Ann Harvey. She refused and a pursuit began.

While this isn’t too unusual, the chase took a dramatic turn when Harvey “broke through a gate and drove through the Grand Harbor Golf Course.” The dashcam video picks up from there as we can see two deputies pursuing the woman on the fairway.

Harvey then drives the Toyota 4Runner down the cart path, before dodging a parked cart and a group of very confused golfers. The chase returns to the fairway, but deputies have had enough and decide to attempt a PIT maneuver. It goes off without a hitch as the 4Runner spins around 180° and is then boxed in by police.

The woman was quickly taken into custody and the Sheriff’s Office noted no injuries were reported. That’s good news, but all three vehicles did “sustain damage.”

Harvey is now facing a long list of charges including “aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, DUI, two felony counts of criminal mischief, aggravated flee/elude, and aggravated assault on an officer/fire fighter/EMT.” That’s quite a collection, but at least she saved on greens fees.
