As standard, the BMW X5 M Competition and Mercedes-AMG G 63 are two very impressive, high-performance SUVs but that hasn’t stopped G-Power from announcing a bunch of tuning packages for the duo.
The first upgrade that G-Power has developed for the X5 M Competition and the G 63 is the GP-700 kit that works with both the BMW’s 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 and the G 63’s 4.0-liter twin-turbo V6, lifting both vehicles up to 700 hp. Torque from the X5 M Competition also rises to 627 lb-ft (850 Nm) while it has grown even further to 700 lb-ft (950 Nm) in the Mercedes.

For those looking for even more power, G-Power also offers its GP-750 performance software. This upgrade boosts both to 750 hp while the BMW gets 664 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque and the Mercedes benefits from 737 lb-ft (1,000 Nm). Complementing the software changes are sport downpipes for both models. G-Power also tweaks the central powertrain control module of the G 63 to achieve its monumental torque figure and unlock its top speed.
Last but certainly not least is the GP-800 upgrade. Grunt from the X5 M Competition sits at 800 hp and 700 lb-ft (950 Nm) while the G 63 churns out 800 hp and 774 lb-ft (1,050 Nm). Both models are equipped with new turbochargers to achieve these significant power gains. The G-Class is also equipped with a GP-Deeptone exhaust system with adjustable valves.
G-Power’s tuned BMW X5 M Competition is dubbed the GX5M Bi-Turbo while the G 63 is now badged the GP 63 Bi-Turbo. Both can be equipped with the tuner’s in-house 23×11-inch Hurricane RS and Hurricane RR forged wheels.
