A flagship, four-door version of the Genesis GV80 is expected to land in the U.S. next year.
The variant is tipped to be dubbed the GV80 Prestige Signature and will share a lot in common with the luxurious six-seat version of the GV80 that Genesis sells in South Korea. However, the third-row of seats will be removed for the U.S., leaving two second-row captain’s chairs.

Genesis confirmed the model during a recent interview with CNET but failed to provide specifics about it. In all likelihood, the second-row captain’s chairs will have power adjustability and found between them will be a large center console with controls for the multimedia and climate.
It is unclear if any exterior upgrades will be made to the SUV, but some custom badges are a possibility.
No powertrain modifications are expected and while the GV80 is offered in the U.S. with a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder, this flagship model will probably only be offered with the 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 rated at 375 hp and 391 lb-ft (530 Nm) of torque. All-wheel drive should be standard, as will a set of 22-inch wheels.
Currently topping out the GV80 range in the U.S. is the 3.5T Advanced Plus variant, available from $68,545 with a $1,045 destination charge. CNET suggests that the Prestige Signature will inevitably exceed $70,000. However, that will still make it cheaper than a well-equipped six-cylinder Mercedes-Benz GLE that easily reaches into the $80,000 range.
