Aston Martin has released a new teaser of the forthcoming V12 Vantage, this time providing us with the chance to hear its engine.
The ‘regular’ Aston Martin Vantage is already very impressive with its AMG-sourced 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 but the V12 promises to be even more spectacular and will help to send off the ICE-powered sports car before the automaker starts electrifying its line-up.

The original V12 Vantage featured the same 5.9-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine as the DBS but despite how spectacular that engine is, Aston Martin’s flagship engine is now a 5.2-liter twin-turbocharged V12. The new V12 Vantage will feature this engine and while it may not sound as good as its predecessor, it will be significantly more powerful.

It is reported that the engine of the new V12 Vantage will be in the same state of tune as it is in the limited-run Aston Martin Speedster. As such, it should pump out 690 hp and 555 lb-ft (753 Nm) of torque. To put those figures into perspective, the old V12 Vantage had 510 hp and 420 lb-ft (570 Nm).
From a visual perspective, this teaser reveals that the V12 Vantage will have a fixed rear wing, similar to the one on the Vantage F1 Edition, albeit slightly smaller. Previous teasers have also revealed it will sport a redesigned front bumper with a slightly larger grille, vertical intakes, and a more prominent two-part splitter.
Aston Martin will officially unveil the new V12 Vantage in 2022.
