Ken Block’s 14-Year-Old Daughter Races The Hoonicorn Against A 4,000 HP NHRA Corvette

While Ken Block is no longer driving around in a fleet of extensively modified Fords after inking a contract with Audi, that doesn’t mean his 14-year-old daughter can’t enjoy one of her father’s most iconic cars, the Ford Mustang ‘Hoonicorn.’

This custom-built Mustang was originally created for the Gymkhana series and over the last year, it has been featured frequently on Hoonigan’s YouTube channel. For this latest race, it was pitted up against an NHRA C6 Corvette drag car for a series of races.

The Hoonicorn is powered by a twin-turbocharged V8 churning out 1,400 hp that’s coupled to a six-speed Sadev transmission with paddle shifters that drives all four wheels. In the other corner is the Corvette, outfitted with a gargantuan 8.6-liter HEMI V8 with a massive supercharger and a 3-speed transmission. While it has the disadvantage of being rear-wheel drive, it pumps out a massive 4,000 hp.

On a prepped drag strip, this Corvette has stormed down the eighth mile in just 3.5 seconds at a staggering 212 mph (341 km/h). However, Hoonigan’s runway isn’t prepped and putting all 4,000 horses to good use is no easy task.

In the first race, Block’s daughter Lia jumps the start and takes an easy victory. However, things really heat up in the second race where the duo get off the line almost identically and while the Hoonicorn has less power, it sticks with the Corvette for the entirety of the race, only losing by a bumper. The third race was held over 1,000 feet instead of 500, like the other two, and is even better.
