Cars like the Audi RS6 Avant, BMW M5 CS, Mercedes-AMG E 63 S, and Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo perfectly combine luxury with power, but which is the quickest?

CarWow recently gathered the four together for a series of performance tests. All four vehicles have twin-turbocharged V8 engines but the Porsche also has an electric motor, meaning it is easily the most powerful. However, it is also the heaviest.

In the first drag race, all four cars rocket off the launch off the line spectacularly well, despite the wet tarmac. Immediately, the Porsche and the BMW establish a lead over the Mercedes and the Audi and start to pull away. As the speeds increase, the M5 CS opens up a slight gap to the Panamera, taking the victory.

The second race was very similar but this time, the Mercedes was slightly closer to the Porsche, although it couldn’t quite keep up. Once again, the BMW walked away with the victory, finishing ahead of the Porsche and the Mercedes, while the Audi came in fourth place.

A look at the times shows that the M5 CS completed the quarter-mile in 10.9 seconds compared to the 11.3 second time of the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo, the 11.4 second time of the E 63 S, and the 11.7 second time of the Audi RS6.

In typical CarWow fashion, a rolling drag race was then held. The M5 CS dominated the field when all four cars were left in their comfort modes. With the transmissions in manual, the BMW, Mercedes, and Porsche were neck-and-neck but the BMW took another victory, albeit only just.
