Tesla faces a second lawsuit from a female employee alleging sexual harassment. Erica Cloud, a Tesla assembly line worker alleges that she was subjected to a “hostile work environment” against women by the electric vehicle manufacturer.

Cloud accused Tesla staff, including her former manager, of “continuous and pervasive” sexual harassment in a lawsuit filed with the Alameda County Superior Court in California on Wednesday. She alleges that the manager hugged and massaged her while making crude and suggestive remarks, reports Reuters.

She said that she is now experiencing retaliation from other managers after complaining to the company’s human resources team about the misconduct. Per the lawsuit, the company and individuals of subjected her to “a hostile work environment stemming from animus towards her gender, sexual harassment.”

The lawsuit further adds that Tesla failed to prevent and take corrective actions over the alleged sexual harassment.

The suit is the second such in less than a month, with Tesla worker Jessica Barraza accusing Tesla of “pervasive sexual harassment” in mid-November.

“Nearly every day for three years, my female coworkers and I were objectified, threatened, touched, and propositioned on the factory floor,” Barraza claimed in a statement at the time. “I wanted to come to work, do my job, and support my family without having to endure constant sexual harassment. I felt degraded, humiliated, and traumatized.”

Barraza also says that she is aware of no actions taken by Tesla’s human resources department following her complaint to them.

Tesla was also recently ordered to pay Owen Diaz, a former employee, $137 million for subjecting him to a hostile work environment on the basis of race.

In 2020, meanwhile, the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing received 31 complaints alleging discrimination on the basis of race, age, gender expression, disability, and pregnancy, according to Bloomberg.
